Sunrise Revisited

Sunrise Revisited

I stopped making photos of the sunrise

I stopped chasing the ocean, lakes and mountains as backdrops

If the sun is to rise then I want to drink it in and rise with it

For months or years of sunrises

My camera has rested on my hip. We bow in reverence.

This morning I remembered that I can bow with my lens

 - and rise with my lens

Lens, sun and I will bow together again

Bow to the newness of this day

of new opportunities and gracious second chances

of light and spaciousness

of love to give, to receive, and together share

of now

just now

We bow to the goodness of this day
